Today marks the start of the PanAmerican Senior Squash Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 🇧🇷
The Championships is split in to 3 segments: Individual Event, Team Event and then finally the Doubles.
Today’s matches in the Individual Competition:
11am: Danny Henderson 🇻🇬 vs Seth Thong 🇹🇹 (T&T)
11.40am: Joe Chapman 🇻🇬 vs Matias Lacroix 🇨🇱 Chile
12.20pm: Oli Henderson 🇻🇬 vs Roberto Pezzota 🇦🇷 Argentina
1.40pm: Luca Reich 🇻🇬 vs Noah Browne 🇧🇲 Bermuda
These Championships are a huge deal for countries from all around North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean. The region has strengthened incredibly over the past 20 years or so making the quality of competition higher than ever with players such as Diego Elias (Highest World Ranking 1 and current No.2), Miguel Rodriguez (HWR 4), and Leonel Cardenas (HWR 13). There are also many other players within the top 80 in the World further demonstrating the depth in quality the region!
